Tour guideThe Ol Pejeta Safari Cottages are the brainchild of safari veterans Andy and Sonja Webb and are the newest addition to the Ol Pejeta Conservancy’s Safari Accommodation selection. Nestled in amongst towering yellow bark acacia trees, deep in the heart of Ol Pejeta’s southern wilderness area, the Safari Cottages enjoy peace and tranquillity with uninterrupted views across a lush river valley to the plains beyond. Accommodation consists of 2 x 2 bedroomed cottages (Mbili and Tatu) and 2 x 1 bedroomed cottages (Moja Juu and Moja Chini).

Moja Juu and Moja Chini can accommodate 2 adults with space for a child’s bed and Mbili and Tatu can house 4 adults with space for 2 children’s’ beds. All bedrooms have ensuite bathroom and toilet. The lounge boasts comfortable sofas and a large fireplace for a warming evening log fire. All rooms open out onto an enormous veranda complete with outdoor seating and steps down to the extensive lawn area where you can enjoy an open campfire under the stars in the evenings. There is also a game viewing deck in front of the cottages where guests can have meals, sundowners or just relax and watch the wildlife pass by. Power and lighting is solar in keeping with the cottages’ environmentally friendly ethos.

Every cottage comes complete with a full complement of staff including private chef, housekeeper, waiter, groundskeeper and night askari’s (guards) and offers guests a private escape in a ‘home away from home’ bush environment.
