Amboseli sits at the foot of Mt. Kilimanjaro, Africa’s tallest mountain. The name is a Maasai phrase that means “salty dust land.” The Park is well-known for its large herd of elephants, earning it the title “Land of Jumbos.” One can also spot lions, cheetahs, leopards, spotted hyenas, hippos, buffalos, flamingos, and a selection of bird species.

This massive reserve is actually part of the vast Serengeti plains, which are famous for its spectacular wildebeest migration and is home to the Big Five: Lion, Elephant, Leopard, Buffalo, and Rhino, where you can witness hunting and gathering.

You may also see the 7th wonder of the world as millions of wildebeests migrate from Serengeti National Park to Maasai Mara. You view zebra, angel, snapper, butterfly, scorpion, rubber, puffer, damsel, and too many other species to mention while wearing only your bikini, snorkel, and mask! The fish move so swiftly that you may have difficulty distinguishing between species, and a slow-moving variety may infrequently grab your eye.
